Short for "Martial Arts Tricking"
An aesthetic blend of flips, kicks and twists performed free-form at the discretion of each individual tricker/trickster. Moves are performed individually or in combinations. The goal is to have fun, stay in shape and look awesome doing it!
Origins:
Tricking evolved from the performance martial arts scene in the 1990's and early 2000's. Performers sought to free themselves from the strict rules and judging in the martial arts world to solely focus on improving themselves and their tricks. There are no rules in tricking so trickers are free to focus on any moves they would like as they develop their own individual styles. Some tricksters are known for long, technical combos while others are recognized for their giant power moves. Whether you like high and floaty tricks or fast and furious ones, you will find what fits you!
