Revolution is exciting and really fun! I love all my teachers. Revolution is the best!
- Jada W., Girls Class Athlete
The developmental levels within our girls gymnastics program* are based on a set of core skills on each event. Upon achieving all skills, the student will move up to the next level within our program. Testing scores are posted in your Parent Portal during testing weeks and will recommend the correct level to enroll in for the next session. Watch this tutorial on how to access/view your child's testing results through the Parent Portal.
Max class size: 8:1
Max class size: 8:1
*Students must turn 5 years of age within the first 5 weeks of the Term to enroll in any level of the girls gymnastics program.
Beginner:
The Beginner class is the first level of our girls gymnastics program. During this class, children will learn an established routine including three 15-minute rotations on that week's events. Class time will always include rotations on floor and bars, and alternate odd and even weeks between vault and balance beam. Progress reports evaluate students on the core skills required to move up to Advanced Beginner. The core skills students are evaluated on can be found HERE.
Advanced Beginner:
The second level of our girls gymnastics program follows the same class structure but takes a step up from the Beginner class by adding in a fourth 15-minute rotation. Each week, students will train on bars, balance beam and floor, and alternate time on vault and tumble track. Skills at this level are progressively harder and build the strength needed to advance through the program. The core skills students are evaluated on can be found HERE.
Intermediate 1:
The third level of our girls gymnastics program offers a more advanced set of skills to practice and attain. Students will follow the same class routine consisting of four 15-minute events. to include: bars and floor weekly, tramp or tumble track weekly, and vault and balance beam biweekly. Skills at this level become more difficult and require a higher degree of strength and mental focus. The core skills students are evaluated on can be found HERE.
Intermediate 2:
This fourth level of our girls gymnastics program increases training time to 75 minutes per class. Students train consistently on each of these 5 events: vault, bars, beam, floor and tumble track. Skills at this level become increasingly more difficult and require a higher level of confidence and perseverance to master. The core skills students are evaluated on can be found HERE.
Advanced:
At the fifth level within our girls gymnastics program, students are pushed to excel at a high level of difficulty, training for 75 minutes on five, 15-minute events. At this level, students advance to using the uneven bars and vault table and expand their knowledge and skill set as they learn increasingly difficult skills on every event. The core skills students are evaluated on can be found HERE.
Super Advanced:
This class helps students who have passed out of our Advanced class prepare for High School gymnastics. The emphasis is on advancing in the following areas: connection tumbling passes, tumbling and leaping on balance beam, front handspring and half-on vaults and uneven bar kips and connections. Additionally, strength, conditioning and flexibility are incorporated each week. Within this class, students will continue to build their gymnastics repertoire with a greater emphasis on form and strength. The core skills students are evaluated on can be found HERE.
All classes meet once per week on the specified day/time.
